About Florida Courts
Florida Courts is the primary judicial branch responsible for administering justice in the state of Florida. They oversee a comprehensive network of court locations, including the Supreme Court of Florida, District Courts of Appeal, Circuit Trial Courts, and County Trial Courts. In addition to their role in the judicial system, Florida Courts offer a wide range of resources and services.
They provide alternative dispute resolution, court interpreting, court technology, education and outreach, emergency preparedness, and judiciary education. They also manage the Office of Family Courts, Office of Problem-Solving Courts, and Risk Protection Orders. The Office of the State Courts Administrator (OSCA) plays a crucial role in supporting the chief justice and overseeing the court system's administrative functions.
OSCA prepares budget requests, collects and analyzes court-related data, trains mediators and court interpreters, and coordinates education programs for judges and court employees. Operating under the values of respect, integrity, innovation, flexibility, accountability, and excellence, Florida Courts strive to provide accessible, fair, effective, responsive, and accountable services to the public. If you require accommodation due to a disability, Florida Courts offer assistance through the Office of the State Courts Administrator.
