Fleming County EMS, a not-for-profit Ambulance Taxing District founded in 1979, has been dedicated to providing life-saving services to the Flemingsburg, KY community. Originally managed by local funeral homes, the Ambulance Taxing District transitioned into Fleming County EMS in 1990, launching the current ambulance service. With a team of highly trained and professional staff, Fleming County EMS ensures the highest quality of care for all residents.

As a full-time, 24/7 operation, Fleming County EMS responds to all emergency 911 calls in the county and offers transport services to patients requiring higher levels of care in Kentucky and neighboring states. Serving as a Level 3 Teaching Education Institute, the organization offers a range of health-related classes, including Basic EMT training. Additionally, they are a Health and Safety Institute/American Safety and Health Institute Training Center, providing training programs in CPR, First Aid, AED, and more.
