FLEX-FEB ApS is a Danish company focused on developing, designing, and building equipment for maritime environmental protection. Its flagship product, the Flexible Filtering Environmental Protection Barge (FEB-I), is designed to collect and filter oil-contaminated water and other floating pollution directly at sea. In one operation, the barge takes in polluted surface water, separates and stores the recovered oil, and returns filtered water to the marine environment. It can also handle floating waste such as plastic and seaweed.
Designed for coastal and nearshore work, the FEB-I maintains a shallow draft regardless of its load, allowing it to operate in areas that may be difficult for conventional vessels to reach. Its modular units can be transported in standard shipping-container dimensions and deployed from shore, ports, larger vessels, or by helicopter, supporting flexible response and rapid mobilization. A compact trailer option provides additional local deployment flexibility. Alongside its equipment, FLEX-FEB offers advice on maritime environmental protection and contingency planning, helping organizations prepare for and respond to marine pollution incidents.
