Fliegenfischerschule Westensee

Fliegenfischerschule Westensee is a fly-fishing instruction school in Westensee, Germany, led by instructor Jan-Michael Knuthsen. It offers practical casting courses for people who want to learn or improve their fly-fishing skills, with training available for both single-handed and double-handed rods. Beginners can choose a course focused on either rod style, while more experienced anglers can develop their single-handed casting further.

Instruction combines guided practice with relevant theory. Participants are introduced to casting techniques step by step and learn about the characteristics of their equipment and how to use it effectively. The advanced single-handed course builds on beginner-level skills and includes techniques such as trick casts and underhand casts. Class sizes are limited to three participants, allowing for focused instruction. Loan equipment is provided for those who do not have their own gear.

The school lists course dates and prices and offers gift vouchers. Prospective participants can contact Jan-Michael Knuthsen by phone or email to ask about courses or make an enquiry.
