About Flight Training Alliance
Flight Training Alliance (FTA) is a joint venture between Lufthansa Aviation Training and CAE, combining the expertise of both aviation training providers to deliver training solutions for the Airbus A220. As an Airbus Authorized Training Provider, FTA supports aircraft entry into service and helps prepare crews for A220 operations worldwide. Its programs are developed in cooperation with Airbus, bringing the manufacturer’s expertise to training authorized for operators.
FTA offers cockpit and pilot training, cabin crew training, emergency courses, and dispatcher courses. Beyond entitlement training, the company provides post-entitlement courses and services that can be tailored to operators’ requirements. Its approach draws on training delivery expertise, quality standards, airline operational experience, technology leadership, established airline relationships, and a global training network.
FTA is also working with Airbus to expand A220 training capacity in the Asia-Pacific region. A new CAE 7000XR full-flight simulator is planned for deployment at the Airbus Asia Training Centre in Singapore in 2027. The company is based in Frankfurt, Germany.
