Flimmertal

Flimmertal is a music, arts and culture festival built around community, creative exchange and a welcoming atmosphere. Set in a green location near Melle, the three-day gathering combines live music and DJ sets with camping, workshops and conversations about care, living together and wider social issues. The organisers emphasise consent, respect and a safe environment, with an awareness team available to support visitors. The festival is described as a heartfelt project shaped by the people who take part and contribute.

Alongside its main annual edition, Flimmertal presents smaller events, including Mini Flimmertal at Forum Bielefeld. Its programme brings together performers and DJs across styles such as house, disco, indie, electronic pop and techno, as well as live acts. Food is also part of the experience: at the 2026 mini event, Bielefeld’s Pizzakollektiv will serve pizza, with purchases supporting a solidarity initiative whose recipient is to be announced. The main festival is pausing for 2026, with its next large edition scheduled for August 27–29, 2027.
