Associació Flora Catalana is a volunteer-led, nonprofit organisation dedicated to the botany and ethnobotany of Catalonia. It helps people discover, understand and appreciate the region’s plant life through educational resources, publications, activities and opportunities to participate in research and community projects. Its online Flora Catalogue presents information on Catalan plant species, including vascular plants and bryophytes, while botanical identification keys, illustrated glossaries and bibliographic resources support learning and plant study.
The association also offers Flor@ula, a virtual classroom with courses and training, and organises botanical outings, workshops and other activities. Milfulles, its digital magazine, features articles on topics such as botany, cultivation, cooking, history, itineraries and ethnobotany. Additional resources include botanical routes, local plant lists, a photographic collection, documentary archives and information about Catalan botanists.
Members and volunteers can contribute through working groups focused on areas such as plant cataloguing, photography, content, editing, educational materials and itineraries. Membership has no fee or obligation, and donations help support the association’s non-commercial projects and resources
