Flora de Chilecito

Flora de Chilecito is an online botanical resource focused on the native and wild plants found in Chilecito, La Rioja, Argentina. Its growing catalog currently lists 140 registered species and helps visitors explore them through alphabetical browsing and filters for plant characteristics, flowers, fruits, habitat-related traits, and possible uses. Categories include trees, shrubs, herbs, cacti, vines, and other plant forms, alongside labels for features such as edible fruit, medicinal or culinary use, and whether a species is native or invasive.

The site provides individual plant profiles with descriptive information. Its catalog is continually expanded through contributions from collaborators, offering a practical way to discover and learn about the region’s plant diversity.
