About Florida National Parks Association
Florida National Parks Association (FNPA) is an official private, nonprofit partner of the National Park Service, supporting educational, interpretive, historical, and scientific research activities in South Florida’s national parks. Founded in 1951, the association reports providing more than $6.4 million in aid to National Park Service areas in the region. Its support benefits Big Cypress National Preserve, Biscayne National Park, Dry Tortugas National Park, and Everglades National Park, places known for distinctive ecosystems, wildlife, and cultural history.
FNPA invites visitors and supporters to help sustain these parks through donations and membership. Members contribute to preserving South Florida’s natural and cultural heritage and receive a 15 percent discount using their member ID. The association also offers a Florida Bay Forever specialty license plate and products through its online shop. Its website shares park information, news, and events, and provides an option to subscribe to a newsletter. Through these programs and services, FNPA connects the public with the parks while helping fund educational and research efforts that support their stewardship.
