Florida Pointer Rescue

Florida Pointer Rescue is an all-volunteer, no-kill dog rescue based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The registered nonprofit works to save dogs from overcrowded shelters, unwanted litters, and situations where owners can no longer provide care. It rescues dogs and puppies of all breeds, including seniors and pregnant dogs, from Florida and neighboring states. In private foster homes, the dogs receive shelter, food, medical care, transportation, and affection while they await adoption.

The organization helps place hundreds of dogs and puppies in permanent homes each year and aims to give as many dogs as possible a chance at life, while providing hospice and sanctuary for seniors when needed. Every dog receives a veterinary examination and age-appropriate care, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and spaying or neutering; adult dogs are also tested for heartworm. Adopters can apply through the rescue’s adoption form, while people who need to surrender a dog can use its surrender form.
