The Florida Amateur Wrestling Association (FAWA) is the official governing body for amateur wrestling in Florida and operates under USA Wrestling. It supports the development and promotion of the sport for athletes at youth, high school, and collegiate levels, with a focus on growth, integrity, and excellence. FAWA organizes sanctioned competitions and provides training opportunities, helping wrestlers progress from local participation toward state and national events.

Its programs include Team Florida national dual teams for women’s, men’s, and junior divisions, as well as pathways to national competition and Fargo. The association also offers coaches and team leaders resources, prep camps, summer training, and recognition for All-Americans. Tournament offerings span folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling, including the Tour of Florida season and FAWA Freestyle & Greco Championships. Athletes, families, coaches, and clubs can access event schedules, rules, age and weight information, membership services, and club resources through its website. FAWA also shares wrestling news, photos, videos, and information about spectator tickets and team apparel.
