Florida Van Life Co. is a camper van design, build, and rental company based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Founded by artist and entrepreneur Estelle Bain, the business brings together a team of artists, travelers, and makers to create handcrafted camper vans that are artistic, earthy, and practical for life on the road. Customers can rent a van to try van life before committing to a build, with options for weekend getaways and longer trips. Rentals start and end at the company’s St. Pete workshop, and each van includes a set mileage allowance; most are pet-friendly for an additional fee.
Florida Van Life Co. also builds custom interiors for customers’ own vans, with buildouts starting at $10,000. Clients can discuss features such as skylights, sinks, solar power, bed size, and exterior color. The company says many builds take less than 30 days, though timing depends on the design and parts availability.
