Flowstation Limited is an Auckland, New Zealand-based company established in 1998, known for the Flowstation, also called the Flat Out Workstation. This ergonomic computer workstation is designed for people who find it difficult to sit while working, including those with back problems, spinal disorders, disabilities, or recovering after surgery. It allows users to work at a computer while lying on their backs, helping them remain computer-active when a conventional workstation is uncomfortable or inaccessible.
The workstation supports a keyboard vertically and includes a trackball mouse, with the monitor positioned above the user. Adjustable keyboard and mouse positions, arm support from the mattress, and a space for a hands-free telephone are intended to make working more relaxed. The frame is transportable and can be assembled in under five minutes, although a second person is needed to help adjust its height.
