Flutter Swim Academy

Flutter Swim Academy is a swim instruction business founded by Denton resident Kristin Boyd, whose lifelong experience in competitive swimming and teaching lessons informs its focus on building water confidence and safety. After returning to teaching in her backyard in 2021, Kristin has taught hundreds of children, emphasizing patient, supportive instruction tailored to each swimmer’s abilities. The academy serves communities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including South Denton, Corinth, Argyle, Lantana, Flower Mound, Highland Village, and Aubrey, as well as Cedar Park, Leander, and Steiner Ranch in the North Austin area. Private lessons may also be arranged at a customer’s backyard, subject to availability and pricing.

Lessons are organized into three levels. Level 1 introduces children aged three and older to water comfort, safe entry and exit, floating, basic movement, and introductory freestyle and backstroke. Level 2 develops foundational swimming skills, coordination, and stroke technique, while Level 3 advances stroke technique, turns, underwater swimming, and endurance.
