Flux Factory is a vibrant and artist-led nonprofit organization located in Long Island City, New York, dedicated to supporting emerging artists through a variety of programs. Since its establishment in 1994, Flux has welcomed over 300 Artists-in-Residence and showcased more than 700 exhibitions, fostering a creative environment that encourages experimentation and collaboration across all artistic disciplines.

With a mission to build sustainable communities and retain creative vitality, Flux offers affordable studios, shared workspaces, and professional development opportunities for its artists. Approximately 75 multidisciplinary events are held annually, all free to the public, ensuring that participating artists are compensated for their work.

In addition to traditional residency programs, Flux engages in social initiatives, including the Rhizome Project, which amplifies Black voices through art, and the Nexus Fridge for food distribution in the community. Through its ongoing commitment to inclusivity and support for artists, Flux Factory remains an essential hub for creativity and community-building in New York City.
