Fly-A-Kite is a watersports school and leisure business based at the shallow-water Wieker Bodden on Rügen, Germany. Since 2003, it has offered kitesurfing instruction for beginners and more experienced riders, drawing on its experience as a recognised VDWS kite school. Courses include introductory sessions, intensive beginner and progression courses, private lessons, Air & Style instruction, supervised kiting and kite-foil training. Lessons are taught with a maximum of two students per instructor, except for introductory courses, and are held only when there is sufficient wind. Customers are charged for the instruction delivered, so no wind means no course and no payment.
Fly-A-Kite also provides equipment rental and sales, along with VDWS kiteboarding licences and the VDWS SafetyTool. Since 2013, the business has offered stand-up paddleboarding for calmer days. A cocktail bar, established in 2008, adds a place to relax and enjoy drinks. Since August 2024, Fly-A-Kite has been part of the Harlem Family and exclusively operates the Harlem Clubhouse on Rügen, serving as a test centre and shop for Harlem’s current product range.
