Ascend Aviation

Ascend Aviation is an aviation training and services provider based in Smelterville, Idaho, serving pilots, aircraft owners, and visitors to Northern Idaho. Its flight training program offers personalized instruction from certified instructors, using a structured curriculum developed over more than twenty years. Courses include private, instrument, commercial, flight instructor, and multi-engine training, along with mountain and backcountry lessons for pilots seeking advanced skills. Ascend also offers aircraft rental, including a Cessna 182 Skylane, to qualified pilots and students under instructor supervision.

For aircraft owners and prospective buyers or sellers, the company provides consulting on transactions, maintenance coordination, trip planning, pilot staffing, regulatory compliance, and expense management. Its Pilot Pipeline network helps owners connect with qualified commercial pilots for private air transport. Visitors can book 45-minute sightseeing flights over Lake Coeur d’Alene, the Silver Valley, and the Idaho Panhandle; tours accommodate up to three people. Ascend also offers a Companion Copilot course, giving non-pilots introductory flight knowledge and supervised practice in the aircraft.
