Flyfishingninja is the guiding and instruction website of Kunio Onishi, a registered fly-fishing guide with the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association. Based in Taupo, in New Zealand’s Central North Island, Onishi welcomes anglers to explore a region where wild rainbow and brown trout can be pursued throughout the year. His guided experiences range from day trips on local rivers and streams to hikes into remote backcountry and multi-day journeys to headwaters.

The website also offers tuition in two-handed Spey casting, including instruction on casting techniques, swinging flies and controlling depth. Seasonal fishing may involve targeting trout on dry flies during summer or seeking colourful spawning fish in winter. Visitors can browse testimonials and a gallery, and contact the guide to plan a trip or arrange lessons. Onishi is also a Fly Fishers International certified casting instructor, bringing specialist casting expertise to his services. Flyfishingninja presents its trips as opportunities for excitement, adventure and achievement, with options suited to anglers seeking either focused instruction or a wilderness fishing experience.
