Flying Lines

Flying Lines is an esteemed independent news website dedicated to control-line model aviation enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest. Serving as the online successor to the well-regarded Flying Lines newsletter, which delivered over 26 years of Northwest flying news through 215 editions, it now focuses on regional activities in Academy of Model Aeronautics District XI and British Columbia. The site is curated by a passionate editorial team comprising John Thompson, Mike Hazel, and Barbara White.

Flying Lines invites contributions from local control-line fliers, encouraging submissions of articles, contest reports, calendar items, and photographs to enrich its community content. As a registered nonprofit organization, Flying Lines relies on donations to ensure the continued operation of its informative platform, with a suggested annual contribution of just $5. The editorial policy fosters an inclusive environment, promoting all material relevant to control-line flying. Whether you're an avid flier or a newcomer, Flying Lines serves as a vital resource and welcoming community hub for all things control-line aviation.
