Flysociety

Founded by passionate kitesurfer and instructor Michaela “Michi” Ensinger, the project brings together a small team with expertise in programming and brand and user-experience design. Its mission is to make useful local knowledge easier to find and help enthusiasts connect with like-minded people.

The app focuses on kitesurfing, wingsurfing, surfing and snowkiting. Users can explore spots and learn about their characteristics, suitability and local conditions, while sharing their own experiences to help others plan a session. Spot listings feature practical details and community observations, from access and water conditions to advice for beginners and families. flysociety also aims to help users find fellow riders, arrange outings and build friendships, whether they are travelling or looking for company close to home.

Designed for newcomers and experienced sportspeople of all ages and nationalities, flysociety develops with community participation. Future ideas include wind forecasts, updates about spot rules and changes, and social or environmental projects.
