Flytimo

FlyTimo is the paragliding coaching and guiding brand of Timo Schumacher, a German pilot who shares his experience in thermal flying and cross-country (XC) flight. Timo began his paragliding training in Germany in 2011 and earned his licence in Austria in 2012. After gaining experience in the flying community and obtaining his B licence in 2014, he completed a 101-kilometre cross-country flight in the German flatlands in 2016. In 2022, he decided to begin training as a flight instructor.

Costa Rica is a central part of FlyTimo’s story. Timo has travelled there each winter for more than five years, drawn by its flying sites and consistently favourable flying conditions, as well as its national parks and rich biodiversity. FlyTimo describes its focus as helping pilots fly better, more safely and with greater planning. Listed services include one-to-one thermal and XC coaching, including individual coaching in Costa Rica; however, the site states that services are not currently being offered there.
