About Fund Managers Association
The Fund Managers Association (FMA) is a Kenyan trade association that was established in 2008 to promote responsible and sustainable asset management. The Association is open to capital market organizations licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) who manage funds on behalf of their clients. FMA members play a crucial role in managing the bulk of funds from retirement benefit schemes and investable securities throughout East Africa.
By doing so, they contribute to the growth, development, and sustainability of Kenya's capital market and economy. The FMA supports its members by actively engaging with policy makers, regulators, and other stakeholders to address industry-related matters. This includes raising ethical standards, developing new products, implementing new regulations, and addressing training requirements.
The Association also promotes investment products through education. With a focus on self-regulation, professional standards, integrity, and ethical conduct, the FMA aims to facilitate a forum where members can consult and advance matters of mutual concern. By speaking with one voice, they can effectively lobby for the interests of their members and promote the growth of the capital market.
Overall, the Fund Managers Association is dedicated to promoting responsible and sustainable investment practices while providing support and a collective voice for its members in the asset management industry
