FMA Norge, also known as Oslo Stick Fighting Club, is an Oslo-based club dedicated to Filipino Martial Arts, commonly called Arnis, Eskrima or Kali. It welcomes participants at all experience levels, from beginners to competitive athletes, and trains at Øvre Fossum Gård in Stovner on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The club teaches four core areas: single-stick techniques with a rattan staff; double-stick practice, known as doble baston or sinawali; knife techniques and defense, using training weapons; and mano mano, the art’s unarmed techniques, including strikes, joint locks and throws. Training emphasizes movement, timing, coordination, control and the transfer of principles between armed and unarmed practice.
Controlled stickfighting is also part of the program, with sparring ranging from beginner sessions to high-intensity competition training. The club competes under GSBA and WEKAF rules and offers practice in single stick, double stick and padded-knife formats. Its instructors include Grandmaster Danilo “Danny” Huertas and competitor-instructor Sivaganesh “Siva” Vadivelu.
