Fmble

Instead of allowing self-written profiles, fmble lets people present themselves through short, honest vouches from the people who know them, including friends, siblings, flatmates and, where appropriate, exes. The goal is to make dating feel more genuine by giving potential matches useful context about someone’s character before they meet.

To join, users create a profile with photos and details about what they want, then invite three to five people to contribute vouches through a link; those contributors do not need to download the app. A profile goes live once at least two friends have vouched for its owner. Matches can then see the person’s photos alongside the vouches, while contributors do not see matches or private conversations. fmble describes its approach as vouched and honest dating, designed to replace generic bios and uncertain introductions with recommendations from a person’s own circle.
