Flugmodellclub Gersthofen

Flugmodell Club Gersthofen-Gablingen e.V. is a model aviation club founded in 1974 and based around the communities named in its title. Since 2016, its official name has reflected this connection to its home area. The club is a member of the German Model Flying Association (DMFV) and welcomes enthusiasts across model aviation, including helicopter, powered-flight and gliding disciplines.

With around 140 members, including approximately 100 active flyers, the club brings together people of different ages and backgrounds, from beginners to experienced pilots. It offers a community in which members and interested newcomers can pursue model building and flying, exchange knowledge and enjoy the hobby together. Youth involvement is a particular priority, with the club seeking to encourage meaningful, sustainable leisure activities.

Monthly club evenings are held on the last Friday of each month and include informal discussion, presentations, event planning and collaborative decision-making. The club also shares news, event information, flying-field weather data and member model highlights through its website. Its calendar features activities and gatherings for local model-flying enthusiasts.
