About FNAJ
The Federação Nacional das Associações Juvenis (FNAJ) is a national network of local-based youth associations, as well as district and regional federations. Established on May 10, 1996, the FNAJ serves as a school for citizenship and volunteerism, representing, promoting, and valuing young people and youth associations in the face of public and political authorities. Their main goal is to actively contribute to the development of youth policies through co-creation, co-decision, and co-management processes involving young people and decision-makers.
With 1000 affiliated associations and the involvement of 500,000 young individuals, the FNAJ has a nationwide reach. Their services include support for youth associations, project support, citizenship and networking initiatives, studies and training, communication and new technologies, and activities and events. The FNAJ aims to strengthen and sustain the youth associative movement, locally and internationally, and advocate for youth needs and interests.
