About First Nations Eye Health Alliance
First Nations Eye Health Alliance is a community-controlled organization dedicated to enhancing the eye health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia. By integrating traditional and contemporary knowledge, the Alliance strives to eliminate preventable vision loss and blindness within First Nations communities.
Membership in the Alliance allows Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals in the eye care and vision sector, along with their allies, to connect, learn, and receive support. The organization works towards achieving equitable improvements in eye health and vision care outcomes, contributing to the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
Led by a team of experienced professionals, including Co-Patrons Pat Anderson AO and Trevor Buzzacott, the First Nations Eye Health Alliance is committed to empowering First Nations communities to thrive. Join the Alliance to strengthen First Nations leadership and voice in the eye health and vision care sector.
