FoE Japan (エフ・オー・イー・ジャパン) is an international environmental NGO dedicated to addressing global environmental issues. As a member organization of Friends of the Earth International, we have 2 million supporters in 73 countries and have been active in Japan since 1980. We engage in a wide range of policy advocacy activities, focusing on climate change, deforestation, environmental and human rights issues caused by large-scale development, as well as advocating for nuclear and coal phase-outs.

Our vision is to create a peaceful and sustainable society where all forms of life on Earth (people, ethnicities, organisms, nature) can coexist and thrive with dignity. Our approach involves conducting investigations to understand the reality and root causes of environmental issues from the perspective of local communities. We then propose policy changes to decision-makers to address the problems caused by existing systems.

By collaborating with various organizations domestically and internationally, we aim to create a powerful movement for change and achieve a better society.
