Förderkreis Redefin

Förderkreis Landgestüt Redefin e.V. is a nonprofit association that supports the preservation and development of Landgestüt Redefin, a historic state stud farm in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Founded in 1995, the association brings together members who contribute financially and through hands-on involvement to protect the site’s classical architectural ensemble, surrounding park, and equestrian heritage.

Working closely with the stud farm’s management, the Förderkreis helps fund restoration and cultural projects through membership contributions, private donations, foundation support, and public funding. Its work has included restoring the Great Riding Hall’s historic portal, reviving water features in the stud farm park, producing a chronicle for the farm’s 200th anniversary, and refurbishing uniforms worn in the Redefin stallion parades. The association also promotes Mecklenburger Warmblood breeding, supports young equestrian talent, and organizes recurring activities and events. These include family-oriented occasions such as Redefin Children’s Day and the Redefin drag hunt ride. People interested in horses, heritage, and community involvement can learn about the association’s projects, attend events, become members, or make a donation.
