About Foguera Diputació Renfe
Foguera Diputació Renfe is a community organization in Alicante dedicated to Les Fogueres de Sant Joan, the city’s traditional San Juan festivities. Founded in 1956 by a group of local merchants led by Ramón Codina of Puertas Codina, it has a long-standing connection to the neighborhood and its festival traditions. The organization was originally called Foguera General Mola-Renfe, reflecting the former name of Avenida de la Estación.
In 1985, “Diputación” was added to its name, and after the avenue’s name changed two years later, the group adopted its current title. Its Renfe identity also recalls its historic links with Madrid Station and railway workers. Foguera Diputació Renfe shares information about its adult and children’s fogueras, barracas, festival representatives, and history, alongside a gallery and social media updates.
Its website also includes an online shop, although no specific products are listed in the available information. The organization continues to celebrate and present its community’s role in Alicante’s festivities
