Federació Fogueres i Barraques Sant Vicent is the organisation behind the Hogueras and Barracas celebrations in San Vicente del Raspeig, Spain. Officially established in 1947, the festivities grew from an earlier children’s celebration in 1933 and have become a longstanding part of the town’s cultural life. The federation brings together nine hoguera commissions and thirteen barracas, supporting the groups and traditions that make up the festival.
Its website provides information about participating hogueras and barracas, festival monuments, official representatives and the Belleas del Foc and their court of honour. Visitors can also find the history of the celebrations, news, downloads, and programmes and advance schedules for upcoming events. The festivities feature activities and traditions including music, street processions, fireworks, offerings, artistic monuments and the cremà, when the festival structures are burned. The federation also shares information about its sponsors and collaborators and promotes the annual celebrations, held in July. By connecting local commissions, participants and the public, it helps preserve and share the identity, creativity and community spirit of Fogueres i Barraques de Sant Vicent.
