Fois 1000

Fois 1000 is a Montreal-based nonprofit bringing interactive commercial displays and environments to life through reliable technology. Its team of technology creatives partners with clients to turn concepts into working experiences, managing the technical process from design and prototyping through fabrication, programming, installation, training, and ongoing support. Services include hardware and software integration, web programming, project management, technical documentation, monitoring, and urgent technical support.

The team works with a broad range of tools and components, including microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, screens, speakers, sensors, connected devices, virtual reality systems, Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, and Python. Its projects include interactive installations, VR experiences, audiovisual effects, and custom display systems.

Fois 1000 emphasizes dependable operation, careful testing, and clear documentation so installations remain stable and manageable. Its approach also prioritizes sustainability: the organization reuses electronic components and favors lightweight hardware architectures, using only what is needed for an effective solution. Drawing on experience in software engineering and technical project management, Fois 1000 prototypes, tests, and refines systems before deployment, helping clients create engaging environments with technology built to work reliably.
