About Folkeboot
The Deutsche Folkeboot Vereinigung e. V. (DFV) is the German class association for Folkeboat sailors, supporting the community and promoting the boat and its sailing traditions. Its website brings together information for members, prospective members, and anyone interested in Folkeboats. Visitors can learn about the association, its board, membership, the Folkeboat itself, and technical topics, as well as find contacts for local fleets across Germany.
Regatta sailing is a central focus. The DFV shares calendars, event notices, results, rankings, annual tables, and archived race information, including updates on national and international competitions. It also supports recreational sailing through travel reports, cruising information, an Atlantic voyage feature, and a cruising award. Practical community services include classified listings for wooden and fiberglass boats, sails, trailers, equipment, and related items, alongside crew-finding notices for skippers and sailors. The site also provides Folkeboat news, tips, commercial links, and contacts for national and international associations.
