Folk Harbour

Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating folk music. Based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, the Society supports the tradition through educational programs, youth scholarships, concerts, and opportunities to experience performances by musicians from Canada, the United States, and beyond.

Its signature event, the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, is an all-ages, four-day celebration held in August in the town’s UNESCO World Heritage setting. Described as Nova Scotia’s longest-running music festival and one of Canada’s oldest, it brings together folk music, community, and entertainment for visitors and local audiences. The Society also presents concert series throughout the year.
