Fomento do Brasil Mineração

Fomento do Brasil is a Brazilian mining company established in 2013 and part of Grupo Fomento, focused on developing iron ore projects in the country’s Northeast. Its principal undertaking, Projeto Ferro Potiguar, is in Rio Grande do Norte and includes several iron ore deposits at stages of mineral exploration, environmental licensing, and engineering studies. The company says its activities follow rigorous quality controls and standards aligned with the international mining industry.

Together with Grupo Fomento, which has more than 60 years of experience in the mineral industry, Fomento do Brasil works across the mining project lifecycle, from exploration to transoceanic transport and commercialization of mineral products. Its approach emphasizes sustainable resource management, research, technology, environmental and social responsibility, ethics, health and safety, and respect for local culture and diversity.

Beyond mineral development, the company runs Construir e Fomentar, an initiative supporting actions that benefit communities living alongside its mining research projects. Its website also offers project information, environmental impact materials, news, supplier registration, and career information.
