Friends of Moose Veterinary Mission is a dedicated nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas, established in 1998 to provide essential veterinary services to underserved rural communities in Honduras. Each June, teams of volunteer veterinarians travel to Honduras to deliver routine preventative and medical care for a variety of animals including horses, cattle, chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, dogs, and cats. Their services encompass both large and small animal spays and neuters and have expanded from serving six villages to over 24, impacting thousands of animals and supporting local farmers.

Beyond animal care, Friends of Moose is committed to improving the overall well-being of the communities they serve by constructing water tanks for villages lacking fresh water access and facilitating dental care, thanks to partnerships with local healthcare providers. This mission is sustained by donations and volunteers, who play a vital role in advancing animal welfare and community health in rural Honduras. By supporting Friends of Moose, you help make a meaningful difference in the lives of both animals and people.
