The Fondation Nationale de l’Acadie (FNA) is a philanthropic foundation dedicated to supporting the vitality, identity and public profile of the Acadian people. Through donations and endowed funds, it provides financial support for initiatives that advance Acadian culture and strengthen its presence in Canada and internationally. Its work includes offering scholarships, professional development awards and prizes to Acadians, as well as helping audiences better understand Acadian culture.

The foundation’s supported projects span literature, film, arts and civic leadership. Examples include support for Acadian filmmakers Phil Comeau, funding for university students to participate in youth parliaments, and the Fonds Marc-Chouinard for the performing arts. The FNA has also contributed to initiatives that build connections between Acadia and France. Its past work includes the France-Acadie literary prize, awarded through 2022.
