Fondation Espace Jeunesse

Fondation Espace Jeunesse Lanaudière is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the well-being and development of students at École de l’Espace Jeunesse, which serves the Lanaudière region. The school’s students have moderate to profound intellectual disabilities, often alongside autism spectrum disorders, mental health challenges or physical disabilities. The Foundation raises funds to provide complementary activities, specialized equipment and services that the school’s limited budget cannot otherwise fully support.

Its ongoing initiatives include funding music therapy four days a week and providing adapted Trivel tricycles to encourage movement and physical activity. Donations have also helped make animal-assisted therapy, sports equipment, classroom materials and specialized resources available to students. These programs support therapeutic engagement, motor skills, social participation and everyday quality of life.

The Foundation invites individuals and community partners to contribute through donations, including secure online gifts via Zeffy, and supports fundraising events that bring people together around its mission. By directing community generosity toward students’ specific needs, Fondation Espace Jeunesse Lanaudière helps create a more supportive, enriching school experience and greater opportunities for them to thrive.
