Fondazione Cometa Blu is a social enterprise foundation established in 2021 by Angsa Liguria APS to develop structured support and life-planning pathways for people with autism and compatible disabilities and their families. It manages projects previously run by the association, offering occupational activities, workshops, leisure opportunities, and pathways toward greater residential autonomy for children, young people, and adults. Activities are delivered by carefully selected teams of educators in dedicated facilities, including apartments in Genoa and a facility in the Genoese hinterland, as well as accommodation in Zoagli.
The foundation’s mission is to promote specialized education, health and social care, scientific research, professional training, and the civil rights of autistic people and people with pervasive developmental disorders. It seeks to support lives that are protected, dignified, and as independent as possible, with equal opportunities. Cometa Blu is funded through contributions from members, private donors, and institutions, including grants and donations.
