About Fondazione FS Italiane
Fondazione FS Italiane is the custodian and manager of the rich historical heritage of the Italian Railways. Established on March 6, 2013, the foundation oversees a fleet of over 400 restored vintage trains that comply with current safety regulations. With a thousand kilometers of tourist railways, they have created the Binari senza tempo project, offering sustainable travel experiences to explore the Italian province from north to south.
The foundation is also responsible for the architectural and functional restoration of the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, the Trieste Campo Marzio Museum, and the workshops. Additionally, they house archives and a library that embody the railway culture dating back to the mid-19th century. It is a tale of passion and hard work, making it a truly captivating Italian story.
