FONSA

Friends of Nablus and Surrounding Areas (FONSA) is a registered Scottish charity that supports people in Nablus and nearby communities in Palestine. The organisation focuses on practical assistance in education, agriculture and healthcare, responding to local needs and the challenges facing the region.

FONSA’s general fund helps address immediate needs and supports priorities such as students who cannot afford university tuition. Its education work also includes assistance for schoolchildren, including contributions toward schoolbags and essential supplies. In healthcare, FONSA helps train nurses and midwives, aiming to strengthen access to qualified medical staff and services.

The charity also supports agriculture by funding the planting of olive trees, an important source of food and income for many families. Its work extends to Yanoun village, where it has helped repair homes, support students and provide other forms of assistance. Through donations and fundraising, FONSA invites supporters to contribute to these initiatives and to its wider efforts in and around Nablus.
