As a private foundation established in 2005 in Geneva, notreHistoire. ch has successfully digitized and safeguarded over 125,000 hours of radio and television archives from Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS). This invaluable collection is made accessible to the public, showcasing the rich historical content.

In 2005, notreHistoire. ch launched the RTS archives website, followed by the first-ever participatory historical platform in Switzerland, notreHistoire. ch, in 2009.

The platform has received multiple awards both in Switzerland and abroad. Expanding its reach further, notreHistoire. ch opened two sister platforms, lanostraStoria.

ch and nossaisotrgia. ch, in Ticino and Grisons. These platforms enable Italian and Romansh-speaking Swiss citizens to actively contribute to the construction of their collective memory.

Currently, notreHistoire. ch is dedicated to the development of unsereGeschichte. ch, an upcoming historical participatory platform catering to the German-speaking region of Switzerland.

Additionally, the foundation publishes geneveMonde. ch, a bilingual (French/English) platform that focuses on the history of international Geneva. This platform was launched on October 27, 2022, coinciding with UNESCO's World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.

The FONSART Council is chaired by Mr. Marc Savary, a former member of the SRG SSR management board and also the president of the Suisa Foundation for the rights of musical authors. The council's vice-presidents include Mr.

Pascal Crittin, the director of RTS, and Mr. Daniel Jorio. Memoriav, the Swiss association for audiovisual archives, along with six other experts from the audiovisual archives and SSR domain, are part of the foundation's council.
