About Footprint to Freedom
Footprint to Freedom is a survivor-led organization that focuses on combating human trafficking. Run exclusively by survivors of human trafficking, our mission is to create spaces and programs that support the recovery and reintegration of survivors into society. We operate in the Netherlands and East Africa, specifically Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania.
Our activities revolve around six interlinked approaches: Prevention, Education, Empowerment, Engagement, Reintegration, and Advocacy. We prioritize survivor leadership, empowerment, and vulnerability reduction, with a long-term perspective on the health and well-being of survivors. Through our work, we impact multiple Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty relief, mental health support, safe migration training, and climate change awareness.
