Forde Art

Forde Art is the digital art practice of Jonathan Robert Forde, centered on “Transchromatic Space,” an approach to abstraction that treats color and light as immersive experiences rather than conventional representations. The work uses computed light equations and additive RGB color relationships on an 8K² digital plane to create what Forde describes as portals into imagined spaces. Its conceptual framework includes the Line-Singularity premise, a Chromatic Manifesto, essays on relational light and gravity, and a Lexicon of Resonance.

The online collection brings together seven bodies of work: Men in Shining Armour, including MISA and MISA2; Symphony 13o in 16n; The Chromatic Portals; The Chromatic Horizons; Colours Soft; Dark Black; and Trees. The site also presents Forde’s biography and the influences behind his practice, including Caribbean light and origins, formative lineage, and technological evolution.
