Fore Star Golf Tour

Fore Star Golf Tour (FSGT) is a summer golf league for casual golfers on Chicago’s South Side, bringing friendly competition and structure to rounds at a variety of courses. The league emphasizes fun and playability rather than a professional atmosphere, and welcomes golfers of different skill levels. Competition is based on net scores, using each player’s current CDGA Handicap Index to calculate course handicaps; other handicap systems are not accepted.

FSGT organizes scheduled events, tracks scoring and season standings, and awards weekly prizes to low-net winners. Players earn points throughout the season, with major events worth additional points. Eligible participants can advance to a playoff, where starting stroke advantages are determined by regular-season standings. The tour also provides two season-long tee-box options and custom league rules intended to support pace of play and an enjoyable experience. Official rounds follow singles stroke play, require a fellow league member to attest the scorecard, and include hole-by-hole score submission through the CDGA.
