The Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) is a global partnership aimed at reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. The FCPF works with 47 developing countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean, along with 17 donors who have contributed a total of $1. 3 billion.

The FCPF supports REDD+ efforts through two funds: the Readiness Fund and the Carbon Fund. The Readiness Fund helps countries establish the necessary foundations for implementing REDD+, such as developing strategies, reference emission levels, and measurement systems. It also assists in setting up management arrangements and safeguards.

The Carbon Fund provides results-based payments to countries that have made progress in REDD+ implementation and achieved verifiable emission reductions in their forests and land-use sectors.
