Welcome to The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center, located in Springfield, MA. Our mission is to inspire our community to respect and value the natural world through education, conservation, and rehabilitation. Established in the late 1800s, The Zoo in Forest Park has been an integral part of our region's cultural and educational environment.
As a private, non-profit organization governed by the Forest Park Zoological Society, we are dedicated to providing a happy and healthy permanent home for over 225 native and exotic animals representing various species. In addition to housing and caring for these animals, we offer a wide range of educational programs and activities for children and adults. Kids Go Wild, Wildlife on Wheels, Zoo Camp, and Guided Tours are just a few examples of our award-winning programs.
Through these interactive experiences and our static exhibits, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diverse species that surround us. By visiting The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center, you not only have the opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled day with family and friends, but you also contribute to our ongoing conservation and rehabilitation efforts. Come and explore the wonders of the animal kingdom while supporting our mission to protect and preserve wildlife
