About Forge Biologics
Forge Biologics is a gene therapy contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on adeno-associated virus (AAV) therapies. Its mission is to help bring life-changing gene therapies from concept to patients through specialized technologies, manufacturing expertise, and collaborative support. Forge works with researchers, foundations, biotechnology companies, and pharmaceutical companies, supporting programs from early discovery through commercial manufacturing.
Its services include molecular development, product-specific process development, analytical development, and current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) manufacturing, as well as support with IND review. The company’s FUEL platform features technologies designed to advance AAV development and production, including Ignition Cells, pEMBR 2.0 Ad Helper, modified rep/caps, and improved AAV characterization analytics.
Forge’s Hearth facility spans more than 200,000 square feet and includes 20 cGMP suites and bioreactors ranging from 50 to 5,000 liters. The site is designed to support flexible, scalable production. Forge reports serving more than 60 clients, manufacturing over 600 batches, and supporting programs across more than 35 indications.
