About FORGOTTEN
Forgotten is an urban project that aims to shed light on the buildings in the city of Rome that are at risk of being forgotten, despite their central locations. The project invites artists from specific countries to create their own artworks on the surfaces of these buildings, which serve as objects of investigation. Forgotten collaborates with internationally renowned artists who have never visited Rome before.
The project is supported by various local and international institutions and involves different local associations in the neighborhoods where it operates. Unlike a festival, Forgotten is a year-long project that intervenes strategically in different central areas of Rome, rather than focusing on peripheries. Its goal is not to beautify the city but to prompt citizens to reflect through art.
The latest addition to Forgotten is the creation of an artwork titled Not Forgotten by Lucy McLauchlan, located in Campo Testaccio, which highlights forgotten sports facilities. Stay tuned for more updates and news from Forgotten Project
