Formes et Couleurs is an independent French association dedicated to visual arts and the enjoyment of painting. Based in Périgny-sur-Yerres, in the Val-de-Marne, it is not a formal painting school but a community whose activities are shaped by its members. The association welcomes beginners and experienced artists alike, helping them discover and develop their artistic practice with guidance from qualified instructor Jakub Kajl, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Its workshops cover a range of techniques and disciplines, including oil and acrylic painting, pastel, pencil and chalk drawing, and sculpture. Formes et Couleurs presents artistic practice as something that can be learned and developed, inviting participants to explore form, light, shadow, and colour through making art.
Beyond its classes, the association organises exhibitions, courses and other events, and showcases members’ work in an online artists’ gallery. It also takes part in local cultural initiatives, including a short-film festival feature highlighting artworks connected to the heritage of Périgny-sur-Yerres.
